Elizabeth Ford was born in 1780, in Baltimore county, Maryland, a daughter of Horatio Ford and Elizabeth Gill. In 1805, in Jonesborough, Washington county, Tennessee, Elizabeth married Joseph Morrison, born November 30, 1759, in Virginia, a veteran of the American Revolutionary War, [1] and a widower with two children. Children of Elizabeth and Joseph became the parents of nine children, including:
Horatio Morrison, born July 7, 1806, in Washington county, Tennessee, died November 7, 1851, in Placer county, California, married Rutha Ford, in 1826
Joseph Morrison, born October 10, 1807, in Washington county, Tennessee, died April 18, 1891, in Lee county, Iowa, married Miram Baugh, in 1833
Neal Morrison, born November 5, 1809, died November 14, 1863, in Alcorn county, Mississippi, married Sarah Rushing, in 1831
Sarah Elizbeth Morrison, born May 15, 1812, in Washington county, Tennessee, died November 14, 1898, in McClellan Township, Jefferson county, Illinois, married Solomon Ford
Samuel William Morrison, born March 2, 1814, in Washington county, Tennessee, died January 27, 1892, in Hamilton county, Texas, married Peggy Ann Baugh, on February 13, 1834, in Jefferson county, Illinois
James Kilpatrick Morrison, born March 15, 1820, in Jonesborough, Washington county, Tennessee, died February 22, 1902, in Walnut Hill, Marion county, Illinois, married Matisa Caroline Brawley, in 1840

Elizabeth (Ford) Morrison died August 11, 1844, in Marion county, Illinois. Joseph and Elizabeth are buried together in Mount Moriah Cemetery, in Centralia, Marion County, Illinois. There are photographs of their headstones on their Find A Grave memorials.
